Can't remember the name, but I'm picturing New York in the 90's and Ben Kingsley.
EDIT - The Wackness. Pretty sure that's it.

The Wackness is such an awesome movie.
It really is. They did an absolultey brilliant job of capturing New York in the 90's IMO. Then of course Ben Kingsley is just an awesome actor and the supporting cast was great too. Couple that with a good story and it's a winner for sure. Might watch it again tonight actually. T: So you're not gonna go to law school? What do you wannna do then? M: I wanna dance!

Wicked movie. Oh, I see, what I should do is, er, come home and say "Hi honey! Guess what? I walked into this house today, where this junkie asshole just fried his baby in a microwave, because it was crying too loud. So let me share that with you. Come on, let's share that, and in sharing it, we'll somehow, er, cathartically dispel all that heinous shit". Right?

I: Are you a communist? D: What? I: I was looking through your books. Che in Africa? D: So? I: The Communist Manifesto? D: If I had a copy of Mein Kampf, would that make me a Nazi? I: [Eating leftover dinner] You know, this is really good. Very tasty. D: You should try it warm. I: Well, you don't have a copy of Mein Kampf, but if you did, then yes, I'd ask if you were a Nazi. D: Maybe I'm hiding it. I: Why would you hide it? D: 'Cause it's just not cool to be a Nazi anymore, baby.

I like this thread so I'm gonna try and resurrect it. Bum: That's a hell of a way to treat a vet, man. BF: You're an animal doctor? Bum: No, a VETERAN. I was in Nam. BF: What were you, a drummer boy? You must have been 10 years old. Bum: I meant the Gulf. I meant to say the Gulf. Jesus! Come on, all I'm asking for is a little change. I haven't eaten in three days. [is eating a sandwich] Bum: Well, except for this.
