Adelaide Massive and Digital DJ are proud to present the first edition of Local Produce - a showcase of some of the awesome local dubstep and drum and bass producers we have here in our back yard.  This mix is the local dubstep mix, which was compiled and mixed by Counterpart. Just in case you missed it, the drum and bass mix which was compiled and mixed by Khem is here. yeah is some quality stuff in there. am pretty happy with the way the mix turned out aswell. most of the tunes were really easy to work with, was only a couple that i had to EQ. weve got some awesome talent here  |

yeah thanks for the mix and the tunes crew.,,. this is seriously quality stuff and much of it woulda gone down very well in some of the sets i heard at rainbow serpent recently.,,. check http://www.myspace.com/ottsonicuk - - this guy ott played last in the festival and was sublime in the setting sun with thousand ppl dancing,.,. it's real special to listen to local compositions,.,. i'll be recommending this mix to as many friends as possible,.., appeals to a diversity of tastes i reckon. !!!radelaide bass!!! (and about to check wellbeing and the dnb mix too.,.,) |

Only just got around to checking out the mix, must say overall quality is pretty good although I had the priviledge of hearing a tune which was submitted for this same mix by a cat who goes by the name of Ruse, and I gotta say as much as no ones gonna like hearing this, it totally smashes every thing that made it on to this mix!! WTF??? Can any body shed any light as to why this tune didnt make the cut? One of the toughest dubstep tunes I v heard hands down local or other wise. You guys missed the boat on this one!

Not meaning to sound like Im tryin to bust any ones chops over it, was a killer job done by all and like I said the final product was definately of a high standard, I just couldn't believe such a quality tune didn't make the cut. Was probably a bit less subtle than the rest of the selection but would have definately been worth trying to work into the mix. Will be giving it to Rohan to spin for the second half of Sound Pond Sunday night if any one is keen to hear what Iv been raving about. Will definately be adding this one to the line up for my new label "Lowered Records" when it gets off the ground. Expect a dubplate real soon!! |

by the time i got around to doing the mix the file was no longer available on MediaFire and i didnt have time to go chasing tunes (especially not knowing if it was going to be worth it or not). in saying that im sorry i missed out on getting a copy and apologies for it not being in the mix. but we'll be doing more of these anyway. i think maybe in future all initial submissions should be sent via email at a low bitrate so we get them direct and can pick and choose which ones we would like 320s of and yes digital dj is back, thank f*ck |

damn some pretty nice bits in there! a lot of it on the more minimal tip, but sounding pretty decent imo. ive said it before, but a reminder - any local producers who want airplay on Desh & my radio show on Fresh FM (The Bassbin, thursday nights 10-12) get in contact and send your tunes will be doing an all local edition soon enough also... |
